Vietnam, Dubai boost investment cooperation in various sectors

Dubai companies are seeking investment opportunities in various sectors in Vietnam, aiming to boost the economic development between Vietnam and Dubai.

The statement was made at a recent meeting between Dubai firms under the Bilateral Investment Cooperation Programme and the Ministry of Planning and Investment in Hanoi recently.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Vu Dai Thang, welcomed the Dubai delegation, including representatives from the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) and the Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI), as well as executives from SAPA Thale Group, Beaufort Global and the Milcon Gulf Group.

At the meeting, the delegation presented investment plans between Dubai FDI and the SAPA Thale Group in Vietnam in various fields, including finance, banking, hi-tech development, infrastructure development, the environment, energy, transportation, real estate, hotels and tourism. They also voice their support to improve the investment environment in the country.

Deputy Minister Thang praised the cooperation between SAPA Thale and Dubai FDI, saying that the “Bilateral Investment Cooperation Programme” will be successful and contribute to the economic development between Vietnam and Dubai.

On behalf of the business delegation, Vietnamese-German billionaire Vu Minh affirmed that the group would do their best for Dubai business and the UAE business sector to strongly invest in Vietnam in the future. The bilateral investment cooperation programme is a prerequisite for Vietnamese businesses to promote investment attraction from Dubai and the Middle East, as well as joint economic development ventures between Dubai and Vietnam in general and each business in particular, he added.
